I was homeless, without legs, and feeling sorry for myself. Years earlier, a moderate traumatic brain injury ended my career as an author. I turned to organic farming. First for sustenance. Then as a business called Peppers by Mail. Domestic abuse and exploitation destroyed that career. So I turned a hobby into a job. I became a full time blacksmith and knife maker. When they took off my right leg, I kept on forging using a prosthetic leg. When they took off my left leg, I kept on forging using two prosthetic legs. That seemed to have ended when I fell through my landlord’s deck. I could no longer forge or sell my creations at the renaissance fairs I depended on.
In my darkest hour, I turned to the VA crisis line. Now here I am, clawing my way out of a financial hole literally with my own hands. I choose to be a success story rather than a sob story. You can view my creations at the Kentucky Renaissance Festival each summer or right here at SexyViking.com because I am a Sexy Viking.
